Mindwave Art – USYD

Painting with your brain was a project in partnership with Masters students at The University of Sydney, Dr Caitlin De Bérigny and acclaimed lighting designer Bruce Ramus. This partnership created a digital art installation that allows people to paint with their minds.

As a complete innovation geek of cutting edge technology, I had proposed a concept to visualise art with the mind and have that visualisation externally rendered in a digital format. Mind Paintings was launched in November at Sydney’s Central Park and is the first digital art project of its kind in Australia. As part of the partnership, my role was to support the master’s student’s creative development of their major works through feedback via a presentation panel and delivering lectures on creative conceptualisation. The project resulted in fostering the partnership between Adobe and the University of Sydney and support use of the Adobe tools.
